Tim Anderson, Yoan Moncada, Yasmani Grandal and Eloy Jiménez also feature, so there’s no shortage of talent. Baseball is both an individual and a team sport. The team consists of individuals, for the team to be successful, they must successfully complete their individual tasks. and precise throw to the first. You have to live and breathe baseball. The team must have a good support system. It is not enough for a team to be dedicated to the game, families, team owners, sponsors, coaches, school and college officials and more must understand the team’s psyche and create a strong and impermeable support system. The best sports teams are made up of players who work together and are willing to make sacrifices. A team of selfless players who support each other will generally do better than a group of people who don’t play as a team.
The 2022 MLB season is finally here. With just days to go until Opening Day, hope is high among all teams that this will be their year to win a World Series or at least have an enjoyable 162-game season. Who do you think will win this year?
Nate’s MLB Power Rankings:
1. Atlanta Braves. They earn this number one spot because they reached the post season and won the whole thing without their best player Ronald Acuna Jr. Him returning hungry wanting to be apart of it is scary. Adding Matt Olson to the line up. With Kenley Jansen. And the strength of the rest of bullpen good luck.
2. Milwaukee Brewers. With an outstanding roster full of great ball players and arms. The Brewers will be returning with fire next season. Adding more talent will only make them more scary.
3. Toronto Blue Jays. I guarantee every team that made the playoffs were thankful the Blue Jays didn’t make the cut. Toronto adding Kevin Gaussian and Yusei Kikuchi makes them dangerous. Offensively and Defensively the AL should be worried about Toronto.
4. Chicago White Sox. The White Sox should no doubt be the favorite to win the division. Having a stacked offense like they do makes them very deadly. The rotation still has some work to be done but the closing side of it should be no biggie. The white sox surely could be lethal watch out.
5. Los Angelos Dodgers. Still have depth and lots of talent to be handled with. Big names like Freddie Freeman, Mookie Betts, Trea Turner, and Clayton Kerahaw sure does sound like ring season to me! The dodgers are a team to be on the look out for this season for sure!
6.New York Yankees. There are questions everywhere, but if they somehow get the good versions of Anthony Rizzo, Aaron Judge, Joey Gallo, Giancarlo Stanton, Josh Donaldson and Gleyber Torres, that’s a scary lineup. I have no doubt that the New York Yankees have the talent to make it into the MLB postseason next year, but we didn’t see them in October. It’s not our main problem with the Yankees. All of this combined New York is not ready to break the top rankings of MLB power.
7. Tampa Bay Rays. Them having a ball player who’s in discussion for having a huge year is a step forward for the blue jays. Wander Franco and the rays offense are gonna solidify one of the best line ups in baseball. Their pitching will be a huge plus. Will a World Series for Tampa be in this mix?
Top Players you should look forward too this upcoming season:
As for what matters when it comes to being a good ball player, it is a combination of batting, defense, and baserunning. On offense, people are now no longer worried about Getting on base. They are worried about hitting out. Getting on base and allowing for others to do the same when will only do for the better. These players know how to put the ball in play. Have good quality at bats, and are mentally focused every play wanting to get the ball hit to them. For pitchers, run prevention and workload might be the drivers, however we will additionally supply a few attention to underlying essential signs like strikeouts and walks. This will allow you to know what type of player to look out for in the upcoming 2022 MLB season. A list of the top 10 Players before the season.
1. Juan Soto: Plays for the Washington Nationals. Position is Right Field. was a rookie in 2018 at the age of 19. Last year his batting Average was .313 with 29HR and 95 RBI. Soto Rejected a 13 year $350 Mil extension. Safe to say he might be on a look at for a new home.
2. Shohei Ohtani: Plays for the Los Angelos Angels. Position is Pitcher, Out Field, and DH. Ohtani is the reigning Al MVP. He ended up excelling at hitting and pitching very well. He hit .257 with 46 HR and 100 RBI.
3. Vladimir Guerrero jr: Plays for the Toronto Blue Jays. Position is First base. Last year he batted .311 with 48 HR and 111 RBI. Last season, Guerrero was a 22-year-old who unlocked his power in a huge way, he did this while also displaying an advanced command of the strike zone having great eye discipline. A brilliant career lies ahead.
4. Mike Trout: Plays for the Los Angelos Angels. Position Center field. Aka The Goat of the generation of baseball right now. Unfortunately Trout’s recent health issue have been keeping him from the tip-top of this list. Otherwise, the expectation is that he’ll be known as the most dominant hitter in the game. It speaks volumes that ranking him Fourth which constitutes some frustration on my part.
5. Mookie Betts: Plays for the Los Angelos Dodgers if not the most complete baseball player in the game please tell me who! He’s going on to age 29 being one of the most dominant players in the game. Last year he had a decent season helping his team get to the playoffs betting .284 with 23 HR
6. Jose Ramirez: Plays for the Cleveland Guardians. Position is 3rd base. He batted .266 with 103 RBI 36 HR. He is no doubt one of the best hitters in the game. Ramirez has hot hands over there in that 3rd base corner.
7.Carlos Correa: Is 27 and is about to get Paid. A Player who recently got traded from the Houston Astros to the Minnesota Twins. He is among one of the best short stops in the league. He batted .279 last season with 26 HR. His defense is so smooth and slick it’s hard to get one past him.
8.Ronald Acuna: Plays for the Atlanta Braves. Position Right Field. Ended up tearing his ACL last season and not playing much. Acuna was one of the most dominant hitters and fielders at the time. With not playing that many games he still managed to pull of 24 homers.
9.Corbin Burnes: A Starting Pitcher for the Milwaukee Brewers. Who’s Cutter and Curve that Would leave batters clueless. He lead the MLB with a 2.45 ERA and 234 strikeouts in 167 innings. He is considered the Top pitcher in the NL.
10. Luis Robert: Plays for the Chicago White Sox. Position is Center Field. Some may say this ranking is a little high but I see faith in the power hitting machine. If Robert can play a full season he will be a AL MVP for sure.
